Our Story

Hi, my name is Justin Abdoo, and I am the owner and founder of Ladder Safety Systems. During the winter of 2021 my life was good, I had just gotten married, my wife and I were expecting, and we had a place of our own. Everything was just the way it was supposed to be. At the time, I worked for a local roofing company, but nothing could have prepared me for what was to come.

I set out for my day just as every other day, I went to the shop to clock in and went to my first repair job. As I got there a nasty snowstorm hit the town I was in, so I set my ladder up as I have done a hundred times before, and I began my climb. It was a simple repair job, nothing too involved. As I was putting in the last nail, my ladder slid out from under me, dragging me down with it. Immediately after I was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. This injury put me out of roofing almost immediately.

Just like that our lives were dramatically impacted. My wife was not working and now neither was I. You go into every day as a roofer knowing that this is a possibility – knowing that your ladder could fall – but you never think that it will happen to you, until it does. But it doesn’t have to happen at all. That is why I got to work and created the first ladder – to – roof attachment in the industry. As companies it needs to be our top priority to provide a safe working environment. Together we can reduce the risk of a falling ladder, but this is a team effort.
